Got some vacation time coming up and some extra cash. Any suggestions on where i should go?
-
Looks like your in Georgia. Where have you visited before? Ever been to California? San Diego is beautiful and lots to do. San Francisco is another awesome place to visit. Just a couple of suggestions. I'm in the upper midwest. Not an especially good time of the year to visit here unless you like the cold (although its currently not too bad temp-wise).

Go visit Marietta ;D
-
Boise, Idaho
-
Paris. Who doesn't love the French?
Better go quick before riot season completely burns out though. See how many rental cars you can torch in a week!

lol, I used to work in Marietta, not bad for outside the perimeter.
Ever been to California?
Actually this is one on my list, Ive never been, and i hear its great. Any advice to someone potentially going?

Go visit Bones down under - you can meet the Wiggles, they live at his house...
-
Visit Oklahoma. It's raining today, so most of the state is actually not on fire.

DOn't go to Melbourne. It sucks.
-
My sister spent a year in Melbourne and loved it. I preferred Sydney, but maybe thats just because I spent more time there. I think Melbourne had a better casino though.
Speaking of casino's, go to Vegas. I hear Celine Dion's show is fabulous!

Just don't ask Bones to show you the wiggles. He means that in an entirely different way

This really depends on what you like to do for recreation.
Tons of great cities with stuff to see and do. ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- load of amusement parks, etc..
I'm more the kind of person that takes a cruise on vacation if going on a substantial vacation. If you have kids this is ideal. Hang with them or not... There's booze, gambling, free child care, shows, chicks in bikini's and going some place interesting is always a plus.
Just a thought. If you want info on CA let me know..

Yes, cruise director Julie. Where can I get pictures of the wimmins from California? In case you think I'm being specific, no. All of them. Where can I get pictures of ALL of them?
Thank you.

Can't help ya with pics of all of them. We have our share of bush pigs too.
A good place to start looking though is Maxims Hometown Hotties (http://www.maximonline.com/hotties/search.aspx?term=bpu) for specific areas.

Melbourne is AWESOME!! Go to St.Kilda and stay at the Prince hotel. And yes the Crown Casino is very nice.
The casino is big. Nice? More like generic.
St.Kilda is definitely recommended.

Sounds like Oklahoma casinos. Can't tell them apart once you're inside. They have to be the most boring gaming-related places I've ever been.

How about Athens?
-
Apparently the surrounding islands in Greece are heaps better than Athens, which was described by one of the locals as a giant concrete slab.
-
Dude, you could go to Heaven and a local would be like "eh, it's aight, but there's nothing to do".

What's Greece have to do with Georgia?

Both full of ass-hats?

That map does look like how I imagine the cross section of someone's ass to look.

You're assuming I meant Rome. That will be funny to the original poster.

Yes, very funny. Athens is cool, i have a lot of friends up there, really awesome music scene. I was thinking about going to Tokyo, but i am going on vacation alone, and I talked to my brother who used to live in yokohama, and he said i prolly shouldnt go alone, but then he started giving me stories about travelers that had their kidneys stolen, so maybe he is just stupid anyway. :)

Of all the places I've been to, The ones I liked the most were the Oregon coast, and the Canadian Rockies. They were neato-O-super-A-OK-mega-hyper-fun-fun!
-
OK i think im gunna go to LA, lots of stuff to do, and ive never been.

Getting my two cents in on this thread late but if you want another suggestion, check out the Rapid City SD area, black hills, Mt Rushmore, etc. There's a lot more to do there than you'd think. And if you are a motorcyclist, it's heaven. If you aren't (or even if you are but hate dirtbag bikers), make sure to time your trip when the Sturgis rally is NOT happening. Late summer/early Fall is ideal, the whole area is virtually deserted and the weather is perfect.
Another nice place is the coast of Maine. Fly into Portland, rent yourself a car (or bike) and stick to Highway 1 heading north. When your vacation is half over, turn around and head back. Play it by ear and sleep where you end up each night. Awesome.
Eric.

I've got some beachfront property in North Dakota if you're looking to buy a nice vacation getaway too. Act now while prices are still low! ;D
