Hello, so I have an option to pick-up my first arcade cabinet tomorrow for my work on a mame system. I have an I-Pac, J-Pac, and ArcadeVGA video card so I was just going to get a good working cabinet and monitor with controlls already.
I found this at a dealer in town, I thought it would be good because it is a working Street Fighter 2 system, and it runs very well.
The monitor is very crisp, and the sound system and light system are great too.
They want to deliver it to my apartment for 200 even, which I think is a pretty good deal... but I wantd to check here first.
Go to view pictures of the system at:

Please post and let me know what you think, I'm supposed to go pay for it tomorrow morning.
Thanks,
Matt

I didn't realize I could just post the pics here...
So I know it is hardly the original cabinet, but it

A working game delivered with a working monitor for $200? Sounds like a steal. I don't know much about arcade monitors but check around on it, it alone might be worth most of that. I'd pay $200 for it. I've driven 3 hours to pick up a gutted cab smaller than that one for $150.
If your planning to convert it to mame you can sell off most of the game components on ebay and make a good chunk of your money back.

Hey thanks for the insight, I am going to pay for it tomorrow after hearing all the positive feedback from you, and the folks over in the chat loung.
Thanks for the help,
Matt

Great deal! Especially if you are going to use all the parts.
I bought one for 400 after shipping and ripped everything out... I should have just built one...

Wow. Really good deal. You could turn around and sell that for more than $200 I bet.

The only way you'll get a better deal, is if you get VERY lucky and someone will just give you an arcade game for free or you get lucky at an auction. I say take it. It might cost 50 bucks or so to restore that control panel but it will be worth it.

That is the exact cabinet that I used for my MAME machine. You can check out my finished pics at

The cab is great but the stock control panel is too small. I was able to widen it and lengthen it to give you some more elbow room and wind up room for Golden Tee.
I paid $85 for just the empty cab, no circuit boards or monitor, and I had to go pick it up. $200 delivered is a great deal.

Hey folks, thanks for all the positive feedback! I went ahead and payed for it, and it was brought to my apartment this afternoon...
I have it all hooked up playing Street Fighter 3 Alpha right now, and next week when i get my new barebones system in the mail I'll start working on converting the cabinet on over!
Thanks again for all the responses,
Matt
