ATI All In Wonder models include TV Tuner which you really don't need.

What you must ask yourself is the port interface you will using, the TV inputs available, and the amount of $ you wish to spend.

SVideo output on card/input on TV is likely the connection type used most often for those that are using CRT TVs for monitor.

An ATI card that won't break the bank but that fits this description is the Radeon 7000 in PCI and AGP versions. These can be found for < $35 new. I tend to always select ATI branded cards rather than those with ATI components.

I trust the above helps.

Best of luck with your project.

Well, if you get a tv tuner card, you can watch TV on your Arcade Cab.  It's not something you dont need, but its an option.

Well sure...

...but if he is planning on using a TV, he's already got a tuner in the TV.

you don't need a tv tuner card to watch downloaded material though...

a video card with a tv tuner would be absolutely redundant with a television for a monitor...

and as far as harming a tv...is it my correct understanding that if the resolution is too high...then the television simply won't display it...?

...wow I must have had a major brain fart.

I was thinking of an arcade monitor.  TV tuner card + arcade monitor = arcade cab that you can watch tv on.

TV tuner card + TV = useless

Sorry guys.  Thanks for the smack.   ;D
