Title: MAME 0.103 update--why so large?
Post by: arcadecab on January 07, 2006, 11:45:02 am
I noticed that the MAME 0.103 rom update is about 3 DVDs in size.  Why so large?  What CHD files are included in this update?  Is the update worth it?  Thanks.

I know just the .102-.103 update is a gig on its own, thats without the CHD files.  So...that accounts for that.  I'm assuming the rest are CHD's.  (some of the chd's are 2-3gb in size I believe).

Yep. New and changed CHD's. Save yourself the bandwidth and use the CHD.diff files to generate the new ones from the old.

Also the sfrushse.chd and sfrushte.chd are just renamed copies of sfrush.chd

Cheers,
