Hi, I've been lurking on this great forum for a couple weeks now. Getting ready to start my project within the next couple weeks. I have been working on control panel layouts, and think I have one I will enjoy. The artwork is from the arcade art library, credit to the original author. I love this image! Might go with something of my own, but I'm not much of an artist. I did this in OpenOffice 2.01, the drawing portion of it. Works great by the way, for anyone looking for free software.

I think its got the right stuff.
The only real thing I personally don't like is the stray background characters that extend past the player controls, and for some reason the button labelling around the buttons just doesn't look right...... I suspect it is because the rounded curves are tight and it makes the lettering confusing or uneven or something.
Ohhh yeah, needs more lens flare.

OK, thanks for the feedback. I realized today that I had the wrong font selected. I knew something wasn't right. Here's an updated version, also with a different background. This background is one I did. Also added the name of the cab. My 9 year old son came up with it. Not the most original I realize, but I am trying to make this a family project. Plus, the name is kind of fun, and it's what we will end up saying to people anyway when they ask "What's that?" It's "our arcade" - "OURCADE".
