Title: Removing ROMS from the list in mamewah
Post by: fjser on January 04, 2006, 09:42:03 pm
whats the recommended way to get certian ROMs to not appear in the list in mamewah. I have an entire ROM set, but dont want to see non US games or games i know wont play on my cab. I would prefer to not remove the actual ROMs from the directory.

what ver. of mamewah are you using?

select the filter list then generate list.

go back in and adjust how you want it.

Create a custom list, and then use the 'Generate Filtered List' option to remove clones etc.  You can also manually remove games when you have a custom list setup.

currenlty using version 1.61, but thinking of upgrading to the beta.
Will this same technique work for other console emulators as well?

Not sure if you are aware but you can use filters in v1.61 (& several versions previous)

If you can supply a suitable DAT file with parent/clone info like MAME's then yes...but I doubt you'll find such a dat file :(

To do this with consoles, use good tools to split the roms into countries.
