Title: IPAC and Wireless Keyboards
Post by: Ted_Striker on February 06, 2003, 08:51:36 am
This is going up in the IPAC forum too, but I thought someone here might have the answer as well.  How much power does the IPAC dissipate.  Will using the ps2 port to power both the ipac and a cordless keyboard overload the ps2 port?  I was considering one of those new RF keyboards so I wouldn't have to open my coindoor and drag out the keyboard for config changes.  Anyone use the cordless stuff with IPAC?

I use a wireless RF keyboard with a IPAC and have no problems at all.

Ditto w/ JPAC - no problems w/ my RF keyboard.   However, the JPAC is interfaced via USB.

I've got the same..

the IR receiver has 2 ps2 plugs (keyboard & mouse). The mouse one is going straight to the motherboard ps2, keyboard is goes into 1 side of the Ipac, and the Ipac is going to USB.

No power problems, although the keyboard itself has 4 AAAs in it.
