Title: Problem with Hantarex Polo 2
Post by: pakoman on January 04, 2006, 08:22:36 am
Hi everyone

This is my first post. I'm from "marcianitos" forum but I can't solve my problem, so I'll try it here.

I have an Hantarex Polo 2 , 28" monitor in a mame cab running with jpac and arcadevga. After a windows restart the only image I get is a just a single thin horizontal line across the middle of the screen.
The same if I plug a jamma board.

How can I repair it?

In the other hand, I have a spare Gevin Intervideo Dual 28" monitor, but the power input is different from the one in the Hantarex (3 pins, the Intervideo has 4).

Do both monitors work with the same power values?

My PSU is an Hantarex US150.

Hope you can help me and thanks for reading.

Hey, thanks.

I'll try to look at that.

Where did you get this info?  It may be useful for reference for future problems.

Yeah sounds like frame collapse, first check your adjustment control board has not become disconnected(happens alot),next check for dry joints on the chassis, then check your 25volt protection resistor which feeds the frame chip(i think its a 1.5 ohm anti flame.if still no joy there are a few caps on that 25v frame circuit to check and finally the frame chip itself).A dry joint on the lopti can cause this.
As for your input supply voltage on the hanterax in europe its 240volts,3 pin plug.Your other monitor has a 4 pin supply plug that has probably 240v for degauss and 120v for chassis but you would have to check this with a meter to be sure.hope this helps.

Remember to use high temperature capacitors for Hantarex monitors, they are prone to overheating
