Title: XBOX360 Wireless Options.....
Post by: surf on January 03, 2006, 11:46:19 pm
Just wondeing what everyone thinks...

What is the best wireless option for the XBOX 360?

1. Router

2. USB wireless connection

(I'm new at the wireless thing, and I do have broadband...)

...I'd like to hear the best value for the money...

Thanks!

Also if you are going to go wireless make sure to get a router/wireless bridge that is Wireless-G 54Mbps rather than a Wireless-B Router.  The Wireless-B routers are too slow for doing anything but transfering small files and browsing the web.  If you plan to play on live then you are going to want Wireless-G.

Get a router that works with your broadband.

So your cable modem connects to your router... Then each computer plugs to the router.... or through the wireless.

The firewall protection of the routers are much better then the ones in software firewalls.   Sure they can be a bit more complicated to setup (like having to mention mmorpgs servers are friendly)  but worth it in the end.

Well,

I was more looking for a model/brand that works easily and well...especially for the wireless bridge that will connect to the box itself, without paying $99 for M$'s....

Thanks again...

There isn't much point in getting a wireless gameing adapter.
