I picked this up yesterday.
Everything works great!
But i need a replacement plastic piece up at the very top.
The original is missing, Looks like it was busted off.
A small part of it is still attached.
Any idea where i can get a replacement for it ?
The machine has Japanese writing all over it.
But it does say on it (OLYMPIA EXCELLENCE MODEL)
So i guess that might be the brand?
Thanks for any help?
Bucket ....

Is that a heavy duty commercial one or one of the full size but plastic models I see in the stores here?
-
The whole front of it is some sort of thick plastic? (Strong)
And the back of it is made out of i think MDF ?
Damn thing is solid as a rock though!
And heavy as sh#t !
It is about 18 and a half inches wide,
And 32 inches tall.
-
That's what's known as a "Pachislo" style slot machine from Japan. The brand is Olympia.
The best place for information & parts is www.pachitalk.com and check out the forums there too.

Thanks KEN !
I will check it out!
I knew i could count on the folks here for help!
Chad, here is some more pics of the Slot Machine.
To give you a better idea of the make.

I have the same style slot machine. (Same company, but different version) Great fun to play. You can change the odd's on those machine to increase your chances of winning. I found with my machine that it was LOUD as hell. There are dip switches inside for the volume. I lowered the volume, put cotton in front of the speakers, and it's still loud as hell! Gotta love it!

Yeah i love this one too!
What do you have to do to hit the Jackpot?
You know make the Red Siren go off and it spit out all the tokens?
So far i have lined up 3 bells and a few of the others.
It will blink and play music, But no Red Siren or tokens?
Im figuring i have to line up all the 7's ?

The one that I have, you have to get a particular combination of 7's. (Not all do it), and from there it takes you into a "Bonus" round, and every spin in the bonus round spits out a bunch of tokens. There are 2 different bonus rounds. If you get into the really good one, you can almost empty the hopper. My machine (and I would expect yours) can easily be converted to accept American quarters. I'm in Canada, and I can't convert mine, otherwise I would. The coin mech has a magnet, and our quarters just stick to the magnet. :(
-
Right after my last post.
I went back and played with it !
And i did hit the right combination. And it did exactly what you described!
It took me forever to get it back to normal !
After all the music and lights! What i call the burgular alarm went off!
I played around with the switches and key. And finally got it to quit and go back to
normal.
What do i need to do exactly to make that burgular alarm cut off next time?
I didn't get a manual with it. So im winging it.
And is there a site to tell you how to convert it to quarters?
And if i do that? Will it still accept the tokens?
And you are right the music is loud as F@@K !
Thanks! Bucket...

Mine doesn't do an alarm after all that winning, it just sits there dead till you do a re-set. On my machine, to do the re-set, you need to use the key that opens the door. You turn the key one way to open the door, and the other way re-sets the machine.
If I remember right, it was either quarters or tokens, not both. There are lots of sites out there for converting them. I probably just did a search for something like "convert Pachislo quarters". Some combination like that. You'll find it. Some machines are easier than others. My machine is one of the easiest ones to convert. Shame I can't. I'll just have to convert my arcade machine to tokens. ;D
If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for that?
Oh and you should be able to download a manual for that machine also. Probably not that specific machine, but more a generic one that basically covers all the Pachislo machines.
-
I bought it from a friend (Great Guy i might add ) for $50.00
Did i get a good deal?

Sounds to me like you got a Great deal. I paid more for mine. It came with tokens. It's almost in mint condition as well.

Everything you need to know is at pachitalk.com including volume control mods and quarter mods.
WARNING: Pachislo slot machines have been deemed illegal in some states now. Check your state laws closely. If you are in a legal state, converting it to quarters may then make your machine illegal.
-
Ken definitely brings up a good point. I know here in Ontario, I'm good to go, and I can't convert it regardless, so I'm good no matter what. (unless they change the laws)
But on the flip side, using mame roms is also questionable. I guess it's kind of like driving fast, it's only illegal if your caught. <g>

I really appreciate it!
All i really need is the top plastic piece.
Everything else on my machine looks and works great!
Except for that!
It is pretty easy to remove. There is only one screw holding it in.
It is right behind the bulb board.
Hey if you need anything?
Parts i may have? Or advise? Let me know!
I have been at this hobby for about a year now.
