http://cgi.ebay.com/G08-Monitor-New-in-box-SEE-PHOTOS-CINEMATRONICS_W0QQitemZ6240675129QQcategoryZ13718QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The price is probably about what one would have paid for it 20 years ago.

I wonder why Cinematronics would have had a G08-001, when the G08-105 was the monitor used in Cosmic Chasm?  Interesting...   Maybe the -001 was used in early development for CC, and they eventually forced Electrohome to give them a monitor that didn't catch on fire...   :)  I suppose it could have also been used in the color version of War of the Worlds.  Pretty cool nonetheless to see an NOS vector monitor!

Yep, the thing is NIB, unused, and yet still has burn marks on the chassis.   ;D

I wonder how annoying it would be to pull a NIB monitor and immediately have to recap it.

I don't see the burn marks.  :-\   Are they on the back of the neck board?  Maybe Cinematronics "fired" it up, it "fired" up in return, they packed it up and sent it to United Components (?) for repair, and never bothered to get it back.

That would have been a joke.  This monitor is well known for catching fire.
