Hi all,
I'm thinking of converting or building a sit-down driving cabinet, in a similar style to old cabinets such as that used by Roadblasters. Having thought a fair bit about this however, I've realised that it would be a wasted opportunity not to be able to play the great 3d space sim games too, such as Star Wars, S.T.U.N. Runner or Starblade.
I've been thinking about using a yoke-style controller to hopefully allow both these and driving games to be playable. Yoke controllers for the PC seem a bit thin on the ground, however.
I have spotted this one:

Some questions:
- have any of you guys tried this? What's it like? It's quite expensive and I'd have to get it shipped from the USA to the UK too.
- would it work well with driving games? Would it be a suitable substitute for a wheel, or would it just feel wrong?
I think the cabinet will be used primarily for driving games, so I don't want to lose out on the control for those if possible, but it would be great to be able to play the space sim games too...
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Adam.

I have an older game port version of the CH flight yoke and it is not very good for driving games. The yoke actually pushes in and out for climb/descent therefore it can be difficult to control when you start to turn heavy.
It is however excellent for flight sim games and has good clamps for attachment to your cab. I would shy away from the USB version for sheer expense as they go for about
