I can't think of a SIMPLE way to do that that doesn't include some custom scripting and whatnot.

Maybe if you used this tool:

www.autohotkey.com

??? You could assign a button to swap between each one. However, all the FEs that you want running would need to be running all the time. Unless you set the hotkey to run the executable pertaining to the program.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to do this?  Maybe we can help you think of another approach that would give you the same end result that you're looking for.

Have you tried MameWah?

It can be configured with multiple emulators.

Then with a push of a single button you can move between all the different emulators you have available.

I'm using MameWah as a frontend for:
Mame
Project64 (Nintendo64)
Daphne (LaserDisc games)
PC Games

It took a bit of work to set up properly but now that its running I can't think of a better way to have it.

Just my $0.02 worth.
Good Luck
