Title: Monitor flips, rolls vertically....help!!!!
Post by: lordtodd75 on December 28, 2005, 12:18:51 pm
Hello all,

My cab is almost finished save a few minor details one of them being, during my bios and bootskin screen, the graphics are rolling vertically, you know like what used to happen if your vertical hold was incorrectly set in the older televisions. Although this isnt that big a deal during bios, I would like for people to see my bootskin.

I am using a radeon 9600, 8x, with 256 mb built in ram. I am running windows xp. Although I am pretty sure this has to do with windows loading the drivers for my graphics card, I am not sure how to remedy this. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! BTW I am using a 27" CRT tv as my monitor. It is connected via S-Video and is decased. I don't know what make and model it is but I know it is a newer model(last 5 years), I bought it as a floor model from walmart. Thanks again

i've done a search on this but can't find anything from the boards in way of an answer.  does anyone know what causes the bios screen to "roll" at the beginning?  im using a 27" tv with svideo.  is there a way to stop this from happening?

Apparently this isnt a common problem. I will let you know if i figure anything out besides adding a delay into the circuit so the tv turns on after bios.

Maybe this problem isn't that uncommon? I have the exact same issue using a 27" tv and S-video.
