Make your 2006 New Years Resolutions here....
-
Not really sure what I plan to get out of 2006, but here it goes:
1) Finish both my upright and cocktail cabinets.
2) Continue to succeed in school with high grades.
3) Find ways to advance in my current job.
-
Convince my wife to try some really exciting things I saw on an "over 18" website.
-
1) Quit drinking
2) Start running again
3) Get 5 year and 10 year plans and goals laid out and start working towards them
-
1. Quit Drinking (Im tired of feeling like crap the next day)
2. Start Exercising
3. Start back up T'ai Chi
-
Stop Smoking and start running. It's an all or none scenario.
-
Drink more.
Take up smoking (got an ashtray for Christmas)
Stop reading threads.

Well, the first two are realistic.
I've never done well with the resolution thing.
800x600 seems to work for me.
Seriously, I'd love to start jogging again, but I work 10 hours a day (often including weekends), half of that on my feet, and am not sure my knees would appreciate it.
-
Probably the only one you guys care about, coming from me, is:
- More measured political discourse. Promise!
Some others:
- Finish my home decor projects
- Complete at least one short film
- Complete my cabinet design/build
- Lose 10-15lbs
That's all do-able.

Oh there's another one.
Won't bother re-typing. It was all just silly nonsense anyway (Except for the one about finding Drew)
-
All resolutions for the new year will be centered around my latest fascination.
-Become a sex toy for the Milton Twins.
-Reduce my time on-line and focus on other things (such as the Milton Twins).
-Give up smoking and regain fitness (so I can fully satisfy the Milton Twins).
And to clarify, I have no interest in baseball or baseball players.
-
You can't fool us.
-
1280x960 :D
-
1) Begin Exercising -
2) Spend more time with the family and hobbies.
3) Get my job hours under control in order to facilitate 1) and 2)
Were it not for my ingenious router filters I would have had to add:
4) Get BYOAC time under control in order to facilitate 1) and 2) ;D
-
Well, I cant say "quit smoking" cause its been about a month and a half since I stopped (BTW this Firefox extension (http://www.quitometro.org/quitomzilla_en.php) is awesome for those trying to quit)
I guess I'll say travel. I want to travel more while I'm in Europe. I've only got a few months left so I want to make sure I hit the places I haven been to yet.
-
Up until this point in life, I thought I'd been a pretty content person. I've since learned that's not enough. This isn't a resolution, just a hankering. I've been hearing (for some insane reason) a lot of R.E.M. the past few weeks. I'd like to give some of their wisdom a whirl, but I can't decide if I should be a shiny person, or a happy person. Screw contentment ;D

Just lose your religion, it's easier.

The One I Love? What's going to fall on me? You're just talking like the man in the moon
-
Like Bones I'd like to reduce time spent online. That by itself will basically ensure that any other attainable goal will fall into place for me.
-
Driver 8 take a break. Just Don't Go Down to Rockville.
I am tiring if this silliness now.

It's not like it would be the end of the world as we know it...
-
That all sounds like too much effort. I'd recommend that you just stand in the place that you are.
-
1) Gain enough weight to be buried in a piano crate.
2) I'm pretty sure #1 will take up most of my time.

Next you'll be telling me to face North.

Yet another thread - derailed.
This happens with way too much frequency, Kenneth.
-
THAT was a reach. I think you spoiled it. :D
-
To find all the parts for my cabinet I stashed away in 2004 and put them to use before 2007.....

Alright, how did yall do?
1. Get back to the weight I was when I got married.
2. Learn to do the cool things I saw the skateboarders doing at the skatepark. Granted I have not skated since highshcool (89).
3. Build my cab. Starting TOMOROW!!! Woo hoo. ;D
2 outa 3 aint bad.
1. I dropped 22 pounds (Not my wedding weight, but a darned good start).
2. Built my cab.
Still can't skate for crap. Sure can fall good though.

I failed miserably. Time to get serious about it.

Still can't skate for crap. Sure can fall good though.
Falling is easy. Getting up is hard.
Skating while fat is harder than getting up.

Not fat...Just Big Boned.
;D
Actually, just tall and broad. I scare the hell out of the kids at the skate park. No one wants to get smushed by a 6-3 "old guy"

Well, I did do a little a bit more travelling before I left Europe; hit Amsterdam for the last time and a few other places. When I got to the Pacific though, the first spot I hit was Australia (for 9 days). Good times. Now I'm looking to the Spring and whether I'm gonna try to see Japan, New Zealand, or the Phillipines...
-
isn't it that making a new resolution is for the NEXT COMING YEAR (2007)and not the one your in already (2006)? :dizzy:
-
Not fat...Just Big Boned.
;D
You should see if you can get your case published in a medical journal. I heard you look like you've got double the bones of normal people ;)
I succeeded with my resolution. I've been shiny this whole year ;D
I don't do the resolutions. I wanted to lose some weight this year. I waited until November to start ;D I suppose I could resolve to lose some more, but why put that kind of pressure on myself?
Remember kids, set your goals and expectations low. It makes them easier to reach!

I live by this code:
be an underachiever - that way when you do overachieve, it is that much more impressive.

well my projects are still not yet done and I've added restoring a Crystal Castles to the list
Have a 3.95 GPA and have 6 more classes to go so I should get my associates at the end of the summer semester...
Still working the same job, no advancement yet although with how I'm succeeding academically they are watching me closely....
so I'm going to continue on my same resolutions for next year....
