MAME only emulates arcade games.  As for Neo Geo it only emulates the arcade version of a game (MVS), AFAIK, it doesnt emulate the home version (AES), but lots of other emus exist out there to emulate the home version of neo geo, as well as any other console under the sun.  As for a list of all games MAME supports, its pretty long, and Im sure its out there, I just dont know where.

This should probably be in the Software forum, but you can get the list the same place you get MAME. Just download MAME, and look for a file called gamelist.txt.

This is the important distinction that you have to make with MAME.  MAME will play a lot of different systems, but they are all ARCADE SYSTEMS.  For MAME, when you talk about "systems" you are talking about arcade architectures with similar structures, like Atomiswave, NAOMI, etc.  These 2 examples aren't emulated by MAME, but they are good examples of what I mean.

Mame won't play any console systems like NES, SNES, Genesis.... you need seperate emulators for that.
