Title: GT trackball mount and a (dumb question)
Post by: rackoon on December 24, 2005, 02:46:28 pm
OK, in my hand at this moment is the two half's of a GT trackball mount and a GT trackball. How does this contraption secure the trackball?

The bottom support piece has 3/4" tall threaded posts and the top piece has a half threaded sleeve extends down about 3/4".

Does a separate sleeve secure the TB to the bottom and then a separate bolt secure the..... no wait that wouldn't work ether. Man I am confused!

OK, you guys are killing me. Has any one of you even seen one of these things. I cant believe this. This is the most vocal site I have ever been to, seriously. The knowledge of many the members on this site is impressive, yet I ask one simple question about a trackball mount and all I get is (((chirp--chirp-[cricket sounds]))))

I bet that if I posted a question about how to adjust a posatronic sub-modulating self pulsating thermal trans ionizer that thirty of you would know all about it.

Fine, when I figure out how this puppy goes together  I will be one up on all of you. I will be the master of putting together GT trackball mounts and none of you will be able to stop me, HA HA HA HA!

Man I need to find a new hobby. Smoking cigarettes look cool. Maybe Ill give that a shot. Probably cheaper to.

I think he's talking about the happs golden tee & PGA tour kit (http://www.happcontrols.com/trackballs/55110100.htm), unless it's a different brand.  Almost sounds like a different once, though.

I don't have one of these; it's a new (< year) kit.  I heard it's easy, but IDNK.  All I know are the older kits & plates.

Okay, I looked at the pic Urebelscum posted and I know the answer.  Do you want me to tell you or did you already figure it out?

Or, you could go ---fudgesicle--- yourself.

Your sarcastic impatience is not warranted. Play nicely if you want people to freely answer your questions.

Post pictures and you'll probably get lots of answers.

You didn't even confirm if the mounting kit that u_rs refers to is the one you have ... and we should see the trackball as well.

Meet us halfway.

Cheers.

OK brophog, I will play nice for now, but I will continue to mumble under my breath sounds that could be constrewed as .....Oh never mind.

Regardless, I do not know how to post pics and (yes I still call my self a man), most of the time.
I have a digital camera and have many pics of my kids and wife on my computer. Yet I have never tried to take them from photoshop and post them. I would love to because I have an awesome half built cab that I would like to show off. Maybe I will try and learn tomorrow.

I changed my mind brophog....(full salute)!  )(

Try clicking the "Additional Options..." link when you post ... and no need to throw the sarcasm at me.

Cheers.

Thanks cheffojeffo, I will check that out.

To anyone who got offended with my sarcasm, I'm sorry. I was just goofing around. I sappose that we all have different kinds of sense of humor.
In fact, any one who responds to my posts, when I need help is, cool in my book.

I think the first one was too big. How about this one.

Looking at your picture I can see why it isn't completely clear how to mount the trackball.  It looks like there are two ends where it could be inserted.  One end should smell better than the other.  Let's start there and work our way over.

Nice cab, or is that a horse?
