just how many .984 tokens would be in 5 pound bag?

Assuming you're using .984 (.984" w/ .062" thickness)...

5.40 grams/token

5 lbs = 2267.96 grams



2267.96     = 420 tokens

FWIW, I just bought a mixed 2lb bag. Mostly 0.984 and 0.900 but some smaller and some larger and all were different weights. The bag contained about 191 tokens when it was weighed to exactly 2lbs.
