Hello guys
I have bought recently a used cabinet
& the joysticks feels weird it doesn't feel like those brand new one...& the 2nd player one is sloppy loose..
I think i would need Grommet??
I have a picture of my cabinet Inside

Where could i find those grommet?
are they hard to install?

In your picture, the joystick on the RIGHT is an ORIGINAL Wico and the one on the LEFT appears to be a cheap Chinese knockoff. The telltale sign is that the leafswitches are screwed on instead of popping into the plastic keeper like the one on the right.
I would completely replace the joystick on the picture left (the one with screws through the leaf switches) with another one.
You can find a replacement 8-way (used) on Ebay.
In answer to your question, sometimes you can get replacement Grommets on Ebay. Do an Ebay search for Wico and then wade through the results to see if you can find a replacement grommet auction.

A hidden source of Wico grommets are inside Wico "Command Control" joysticks. They are home-use joysticks, but the grommets are exactly the same kind as arcade.
Here is one example: http://cgi.ebay.ca/Wico-Command-Control-Joystick-Commodore-C-64-128-ATARI_W0QQitemZ8727189213QQcategoryZ74945QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
But he is asking too much for it. You can find them in second hand stores cheap, or on Ebay sometimes for only $5.

eBay Seller NICADE often has WICO sticks and bits.
I have bought NOS 4-ways from him in the past and been delighted by them. I know others here buy from him as well.

RayB is right on the money if you already have bases and sticks.
Cheers.

There is a guy on Ebay that seems to have Wico grommets for sale quite often .. in fact I see a set there now: http://cgi.ebay.com/2-NOS-Williams-Robotron-Joystick-Centering-Grommets_W0QQitemZ6237396030QQcategoryZ13718QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
$30 seems to be about the going price these days.

$15 each?
Seems awful pricey- complete NOS sticks go for $25.

I agree it is pricey, but that seems to be the going rate.
If I could find 8-way NOS WICOs for $25 I would jump on them in a heartbeat. I see 4-ways going for about that, but not the (seemingly) harder to find 8-way sticks.

The plastic bodies are the only part that's different between an 8-way and a 4-way. You can buy a 4-way and swap the new parts onto any junky old 8-way you find, and have a like-new 8-way. And somebody here will probably buy the 4-way bodies off you.
-
I'd buy two bodies (or 1 if I end up winning the one on Ebay)

Kremmit recommended ebay seller NICADE to me and he is awesome for the Wico stuff. $25.00 for a 4-way with fast shipping and a virgin stick still sealed in the box. Great stuff.

I have the grommets.

Okay, I hve the grommets in stock. Check out thread under Buy/Sell/Trade.
Grommets will be $10.00 each.
Thanks,
