Anyone send their DK jr board to Mikesarcade for the $160 board upgrade so that you can play both games( dk and dk jr) on 1 board, Please let me know what you think of the upgrade?
Are you happy/ upset/ with the upgrade as I am seriously considering it!!!
Also can someone explain what the purpose of the rainbow cable is? How it connects?
Thank You :)

I have not had this mod done, but can give you a little help.
The rainbow cable is for the 2 board version of DK and connects the boards together. IIRC this cable serves to provide power for the 2nd board from the main board.
There's a slight but with the Double DK upgrade where some of the sounds from Donkey Kong play at a higher pitch because the game is running on DK Jr hardware.

Wow, that sucks. Both the stomp and walking sounds on the Double DK sound pathetic. The stomp has no impact and the walking sounds like a cricket chirping or something.

I have one of the boards and I think it is great.

Not original, but it would work.

I love mine, very happy I did it.

Is it just me, or does Double Donkey Kong sound like a perverted sex move?
