Is there any word at all on emulation of the modern Golden Tee games?  I sthere a stand alone emulator other than MAME that is working on this emulation?

Modern games are not emulated by mame and are not discussed on this board. Emulating a current game can only be considered piracy since the owner of the copyright is still actively making money on it.

Which is funny as there are newer games in mame:)

Actually the deal is the mamedevs KNOW ITS will take action as they still make alot of money even off of '97.  The golden tees that are in mame are from stratos, not ITS.

Golden Tee for the PC is good.

Golden Tee for the PC is good.
Golden tee for the PC is VERY good with a trackball... the only issues for putting it in a cabinet are:

- It requires the CD to be in the drive, so you'll need to use Alcohol 120% or something to simulate it.
- It requires the keyboard for name entry rather than using the trackball
- You'll need a button that acts as a mouse button.

Not really, unless you want to put in your real name.  Otherwise I just hit a couple of buttons on my cp to enter something.

That isn't a problem

Alcohol 120% is a CD emulator... for those games that require the CD to be in the drive, it creates a CD image and a virtual CD device to manage it. See http://www.alcohol-software.com .
