Hi all!
I use MAME with the Mala frontend, but everytime(almost) I fire
up a game, the disclaimer or similar pops up "press ok.." and
"the video emultaion isn't..." etc.
I've clicked the option in mame to NOT show these, but they show up anyway.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Nicholas

My advice would be to go to the "Software" section of the forum. ;D

Which version of MAME?
-
MAME V0.78 !
Thanks!

Here's how you get that accomplished:
-
You can't report your own thread!!!

AE35, here's what you add to the MAME.CFG file:
skip_disclaimer = yes
skip_gameinfo = yes
You will still see disclaimers for games that have problems. No way to turn those off in .78

"No way to turn those off in .78"
Out of curiosity what version allows this? And if so what would the .ini entry look like?
P.S. I admit it, I'm being lazy.

I see, I thought you were aware of a way to skip the 'has problems' screens.
I thought I recalled Aaron Giles mentioning a change to this in the .90's, but I also recalled a custom compile being the only way to accomplish this.

There was the frames_to_run 1 trick that I believe HowardC actually found, but I am not sure what versions of MAME had the ability to do so, and at what point Aaron took it out. I guess it couldn't hurt to try. Just set the frames_to_run option in mame.ini to 1
