Title: rotate games??
Post by: squirrellydw on December 19, 2005, 02:03:43 am
I have another question dealing with the cocktail table I am going to build.  I currently use a Mac to play my games on MacMAME so I am not very familiar with MAME but I know it has more options.  I am thinking of having a joystick at one end a trackball at the other end and both on the third CP that will run long ways.  You see where I am going with this??

My question is..... can I have MAME or MAMEWAH remember how I want the game to to be positioned.  So lets say I want to play Pac Man at the one end an play Marble Madness at the other end and then play Street Fighter.  Can I configure it so Pac Man will always be vertical for the joystick and have Marbell Madness flip automatically for the trackball and have Street Fighter flip for horizontal play?

I hope you know what I mean.  I don't want to have to configure each game every time.

Thanks

...or you can set each MAME game setting with a individual ini file if you think Kids or Friends will get confused.

There are a MAME Front Ends "FE's" that flip too (not sure if Mamewah does?). Check them out.

I use MaLa on my Cocktail table but there are many other excellent FE's that are well supported on this Forum.
