Title: doesnt sonic the hedgehog work in mame 0.80

hi guys i cant seem to get sonic the hedgehog to work in mame 0.80 is this normal, tried a few versions and just wont start ???

I don't get it.  Are you trying to run a genesis game on mame?

If you're trying to run a genesis/32x/segacd game, you should be using Mess (supports many console systems), gens (supports genesis-based systems), or something similar.

eh no im trying to run the mame versions of sonic the hedgehog on mame 0.80 and they wont start

Looking at MAWS it looks like it was not plyable until MAME 101u5.
sonicp might work better.

Just a note for reference..... there is mega tech sonic, and mega play sonic, which are master system ports, but there is sonic arcade, which is a different game in which you control soinc with the trackball. 

Don't ever assume that when you say "sonic" we'll know what you mean.  Likewise, when someone says "soinc" in reference to mame, don't assume you know which game they are talking about.   :police:
