I used mamewah config to make my own custom gamelists (removing duplicates and such) for the different consoles, but in mamewah, they show up with the goodtools symbols (U,J,E,!,etc). By going to "gamelist options" then "generate filtered list", it removes the symbols, but reverts back to the default list with all the games. How do I remove the symbols permanently, without renaming the files?
Thanks for any help.

The default lists are unfilterable, your secondary lists will filter. So you will need at least two lists for each system the default and then one that you make seperately.

Yeah, that's what I did. I created a separate gamelist, for which I used Mamewah config to go through the list and remove the duplicates and other stuff I didn't want.

When I go to that list in Mamewah, it has my custom list (without (J),(E), and so forth). I'd like to remove the symbols at the end of each game ( (U), [!], and so forth).

I have found that by going to "Game list options", and then to "Generate filtered list", it will remove the symbols, but in doing so, it also brings back all those games that I removed.

If I go back to mamewah config after doing this, the list is as it is in mamewah (no symbols, but is back to it's orginal form with all duplicates and such).

Now, I could go back through the list again (the new list with no symbols) in mamewah config and repeat the process of customizing the list, but because it has no symbols, it makes it difficult to go through it. Is it possible for the list to have the symbols initially within mamewah config (making it easier for me to customize it), and then removed once they're in mamewah?
(You need to open the long mamewah config screenshots in another window to see them clearly. I guess the forum auto-resizes them)
