Frst post. I managed to get the entire thing up and running with the help of this board and NtJedi. Currently I have 2 eight way controls that work great in other games (ex. Gauntlet). When I run NBA Jam the controls turn to 4-way only. Any ideas? I have gone throught the controls for NBA Jam and only see the 4 way settings.
Any help?

Not sure what you're asking about here...you mean when you tab to the controls menu, you only see four directions: up down left right?

Maybe he was drunk when he posted. Let's answer in the morning.

I installed a Tournament Edition pcb in my cabinet with Ultimarc T-Stiks and I haven't seen this problem.

Hmm.. nope not drunk.. And yes the game was working as if it was a 4 way joystick. I did find the problem to be how the controller was connected. It seems by adjusting the joystick makes my 8 way play like a 4 way. I think I am just going to get 2 new eight ways a a 4 way for the cabinet.
I look back at my original post and I think I explained what was happening without sounding drunk. I was just curious if there was a switch to make the game for an 8 or 4 way joystick..
Now can someone tell me why I need to reprogram my Ipac every time I boot up? The computer does not recognize the device until I go into the utility and tell it to program. The program then installs the drivers and programs the keys. I checked Ultimarc's website and I tried removing some registry keys but still have the same problem. Any help?

Okay, I decided to spend some time opening up my control panel (where the USB hub is), and I no longer have any problem.
It WAS a problem with either my PC's USB port, or the USB hub. When I bypassed the USB hub it worked fine without needing to use the WinIpac software, but then I switched to a different USB port (via a USB add-on card), and it worked even with the hub! I could have sworn I tried that long ago, but regardless it works fine now and I'm glad you got me inspired to fix that irritating problem.
If you try all the USB ports on your PC (rebooting after each switch), and none of them work, I'd suggest spending the $10 for an add-on USB card that will probably fix it.

You should post some picutures under the projects area. :D
