Title: Tab/Enter not working the same all over
Post by: DrewKaree on December 13, 2005, 11:02:07 pm
In any of the forums, when I hit "Tab" and "Enter", it naturally moves through the options and posts my reply.  When in Personal Messages, hitting "Tab" does I-have-no-idea-what, and "Enter" (which has become a normal process for me) takes me back to my PM's Inbox, making me think I've sent a message, when in fact, I haven't.

As far as I know, this hasn't always been this way, but is a recent phenomenon.  Is there a "fix" for this, or a setting I'm missing somehow?  I'm using the SMF theme and Firefox 1.06 (also happened under 1.5)

Stop hitting your tab key. It turns up the heat on my USB speedbag warmer.

Is it hot in here or is it just me?

That's not plugged into my PC.  And it's you.  The medication for your hot flashes needs to be lowered.  Make sure to tell the doc next time you see him.  Or don't, if you're into that kinda feeling

Try a different keyboard maybe?

Or build a new PC.

The keyboard/PC isn't the issue.

Tab Enter works in any forum, including how I'll use it to post this very post.  It doesn't function the same way in PM's.  This HAS to be a setup/configuration issue with the board software.

AND IT'S ANNOYING AS HECK! >:(

You're right. I get this behavior in FF, IE and Opera. I'm not sure the difference. In the PM screen, Tab takes you through each area of the compose window (first box, then link, then second box, then to the Bulletin Board format buttons one at a time). If you tab in the main compose window, it'll take you to the general PM link to access your PM area. I don't know why there is the huge difference between compose systems. I'll see if I can take a look for you.

I wasn't getting it in Mozilla. Why should Firefox be any different?
