Title: Fighting Spammers/Scammers
Post by: DarkKobold on December 12, 2005, 03:55:15 pm
I got a typical ebay scam in my email, one of those, your account has been suspended, click here, redirect to some scummy webpage. I filled out the form for Mr. LikestheDouche.

Any thoughts?

sounds like what I did to someone that kept spamming me via SMS.

I found out they were using a Rivals SMS gateway for their incoming text messages.... I wrote out a little script to reply to their message a couple of times... unfortunatley I forgot to tell the script to increment the count, end result was their server accepted 300,000 messages per minute for 6 minutes before it failed, cost to me Nil, cost to them 6 pence per message

strangely they never sent me another message, maybe it was something to do with the
