Title: ArcadeOS / MAME03.6 Shortcuts.
Post by: chris2922 on December 12, 2005, 06:49:45 am
Im currently ironing out the software bugs in my new cocktail mame cab.  Its a PII 300, 128MB Ram, 16MB Video, 3GB HDD.
On top of MAME im running ArcadeOS front end.
When i finish tinkering with the games (and taking out the awful ones) i want to lock it down and make it kid proof, if possible.  In the options for the Front end i can remove the functions such as Start2 menu and the player button functions.

Thing is, I have noticed that Start1+start2 exit a game in MAME.  Can this feature by diabled?  Its a bit of a pain.
Are there any other features or shortcuts i should know about?

Thanks for the reply.

I have a 2-player IPac ready to install, but im using a keyboard at this stage of the testing.  I presume it must be a MAME command if the keyboard is causing it to happen?

I believe it's an ArcadeOS command.  Check out arcadeos.cfg, you should find it (and the other shortcut keys) in there.

Thanks.
I did consider it being an ArcadeOS command, but i didnt think arcadeos would be running in memory while mame was emulating the game.
I presumed it would terminate and load when mame finished emulating.
Now i know where to look.  Thanks again.
