I ordered one of these limited 10 production units.... I've been real patient considering they were to be ready within 3 weeks way back then in mid September.
I haven't heard jack for status since the end of October! No reply to my last couple of emails over the last month!
So Charlie... What's up? For those of us who ordered these can we have a realistic release date or our money back?
-
Since this appears to be the only way to get a reply from Charlie!
I was sent two private messages a couple of days after the post above which is the quickest response I've gotten... The first said he was down to 4 yokes and mine would be going out that weekend.... A couple of hours later another comes rolling in saying he's cutting me a refund by check instead which I accepted. The emails from Charlie are dated 12/12/05
And surprise! Surprise! I'm still waiting for that refund check! I sent another email asking about the status on this on the 12/21 and still no reply! I'm thinking I've been scrooged out of $213 bucks at this point! Hope he had a nice XMAS with MY money!
So what's up Charlie? Check will be in the mail? Right! Hey how about PayPal this time? Jeez at this point I'll eat a few bucks paying PayPal for the wire transfer! Just to be over and done with this transaction!

Darnit I want one of these. I will wait as long as it takes though, Gamecab dont quit now. Just let me know when I can or should cut you a check.

There ya go Charlie! You have a taker and thus can get my refund to me! ;D

Just to let you know,
I got my StarWars Yoke in the mail a couple of weeks ago from Charlie. (yes it does seem like a long time since I've ordered but when you think of the work that goes into each one of these yokes you can understand).
It is AWESOME. ;D
The packing was great (its really heavy). The yoke itself is incredibly sturdy and the handles and triggers and buttons are exactly as I remember them from the original arcade game. It hooks up via the game port.
The feel and the tension of the controller is perfect.
Great job Charlie. Worth every penny.
I've been dying to play StarWars and S.T.U.N. Runner properly for ages.
I'd post pictures of the yoke (I haven't mounted it properly yet. Winter is here and my workshop is toooo cold right now) but I'm at work.
(yes I know I should be working but what the hell).
Just my $0.02 worth.
Happy Gaming

Well I spoke with Charlie finally and the refund hadn't gone out... But he made good on it right away!
So as far as I'm concerned, all is well! And I'm glad to see people are starting to get their yokes!

I'm wondering where mine is too. I've waited and waited. Got the "it's delayed" email back in October. I have an order confirmation number/charged card so I'm not crazy. I've emailed every couple months and just asked for some sort of status with no response. I'd just appreciate some sort of response is all. I don't mind the wait I mind the silence.
Oh well sorry to vent on such an old thread. Just hoping to get it eventually and not be out the money.

I'm in the hole 84 bucks to charlie on a separate order.

RamControls (http://www.ram-controls.com) might have a competitive yoke product on the market soon as well...

They look to have very high quality products, I do not know if I could say no to that yoke, only problem is where the hell would I put it??? :)
Also from the look of gamecabs site things do not look promising, no updates in 7 months and first thing that you see is that pre-orders for the flight yoke has been cancelled. Looks like he may have flaked, sure hope not. But for now as Maximum PC says Gamecab must be officially be put in the Dog Pound...woof!
