What's Up. I would like to know what kind of NEW Products you would like to see. Just maybe I can provide them.
Currently I have Super Joys, Comp Joys, Ms. Pac-Man Joys, T-Stick Joys, Wico NOS BallTop Handles, Pushbuttons, Translucent Buttons, Trackballs.
Please check out my thread under Buy/Sell/Trade for current listing.
What are we missing???
Thanks,
Ponyboy

That covers most of the controls, and most of what people order. The things I don't see are the accessories like coin mechs, coin doors, etcetera.
-
I would think that the led industry and translucent button industry may spike once Randy T's led driver gets going. :o If you had a good hook up with leds that had resistors built in, but I know that is probably too specific. I just finished soldering about sixty of those things, feels like I just did a keyboard hack instead of buying an ipac if you can understand the analogy of time vs. cost. :P

trigger/button ball-top handles for a modern 4/8/49-way joystick
-
Black piano hinges!
-
A mouse for the xbox and playstation. 1st person shooters are meant for a mouse.

Are you only able to stock items sold by Happ?
I think there's a definite need for joystick mounting plates (general ones, not the overpriced Pacman ones) but unfortunately I don't think Happ sell them.
Also, it would be nice if you could stock some Suzo products such as their joysticks now the Happ and Suzo have merged.
-
A lot of people ask about getting Happ carriage bolts to mount joysticks. This would be a good item to stock (and not too expensive to inventory).
-
Analog sticks. I'm torn between gp-wiz49 or straight high resolution analog. If I didn't have to deal with Happ, I'd get analog. Otherwise, RandyT is a great guy to deal with.
-
Maybe some of the I-pacs? That would keep the shipping lower for the US customers when ordering just a single I-pac.
-
Panel clamps for control panels.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the original question is asking.
I would like to know what kind of NEW Products you would like to see.
Are you asking what new "currently not carried by ponyboy" Happs products we'd like to see? (like coin mechs) or what other non-happ products we'd like to see? (like I-pacs) Or 'new' products as in: "products not currently mass produced by anybody"? (like tron repros or complete volcano switches)

I would LOVE to see someone start selling prehacked mice again like Oscar used to... <cries>OSCAR come BACK!!</cries>
I would also like to see some parts to fix up used equipment. Like trackball rollers ect and maybe 5k pots.
And I would also like to see some better speakers... and maybe some prehacked pc speakers to go with it.

I'll second the coin mechs, the metal kind, not those crappy plastic ones.

Analog sticks.
-
P360s.
Spinners, esp if you can get your hands on Oscar V2 or DoT spinners.
8-32 carriage bolts with no manufacturer's stamp on the head. I'd settle for 10-32 in stainless.
Translucent ball-tops for Wico bases.
Star Wars - style yokes.
Coleman
-
Black carriage bolts!
Ultimarc stuff here in the US.
Wiring kits.
Standoffs to mount pcbs\ic boards.
Metal cages to mount hard drives\CD drives (or something that allows mounting)
ROMS - hehe, j/k
-
19 in. vision Pro Monitors.
flavored t-molding.
-
I'll third a request for OSCAR's stuff.
-
Major lack of spinners on the market right now.
-
A plastic "chute" that can install in place of a coin mech so that just about any coin that will insert will drop down over the credit switch. I would love to set up my entire arcade to run off tokens but all the different coin mechs and token types make that too much trouble. Where as a simple coin chute would simplify all that.
-
Maybe some Sanwa parts (buttons and joysticks) for the Fighter and Shmup-lovers.
They're not easy to come by.
-
Not sold by Happ AFAIK but it would be very handy if you stocked router bits for cutting T-Moulding grooves.
-
An interesting observation about analog joysticks.. is that they do not use
gearing. So, that means they are pretty low res. Id love to see a geared version, for ultra high resolution = much better control.
-
WHEELS...at reasonable prices, none of this 150 for a basic wheel i got off ebay for 10. i guess analog wheels would be the only ones of interest, although if the price was right, i might get a 360 too.
-
1 A reproduction "Foodfight" joystick (analog balltop) that doesn't break the bank.

I'd love to see a cheap USB Trackball Mouse Hack for sale...like Oscar (http://www.oscarcontrols.com/) used to make. :'(
-
Ponyboy, do you have any parameters? Soon, someone will be asking you to stock up on BACON.... ;)
-
What about already modified coin mechs to accept tokens\quarters?
-
I say Knockers. Knockers are gonna make a come back in 2006. Expanding on what the LED Wiz can do, if you can hear that knock in your cabinet with QBert... ooh that'd be great.
-

Yes, but not just any bacon. We want real bacon that cooks as fast as the microwave variety. And we want it delivered express mail so that it arrives still piping hot.
-
Translucent leaf buttons (long) ;D
-
Sanwa Buttons and joysticks
VGA breakout cables (so I don't have to make them myself or pay $15 to have it shipped from the UK)
USB mouse hacks for Happ TB
Locks
That's about all the small stuff I can think of
-
Translucent leaf buttons (long) ;D
Oh man, that WOULD be sweet. In fact Ponyboy ANYTHING leaf would go like hot cakes and I'd buy...
-
I would love Ms. Pacman reunion or regular sticks that I could mount in a normal wood control panel....
-
I think it'd be cool if you could stock coin door buttons. If I end up using those BYOAC tokens for my machine, it'd be really nice if the coin door buttons read "Insert Tokens" instead of "50 cents". Also, having different color options for the buttons would be nice.
And it'd been said by plenty of other people, but I'll repeat it: spinners!
-
Has it been mentioned yet... You should stock molex connectors. The kind that's ideal for a player 1 connection. (4 directions + ground + 5 to 7 buttons).

My coin door buttons have replaceable paper inserts so they can say whatever I want them to.
-
also, you can buy coin mechs made to take tokens and quarters. i bought them with my coin door instead of just quarter ones.
