probably a repost...this dude was sitting in his room before starting university when he thought of charging people 1 dollar per pixel or 100 dollars per block to advertise.

there are loads of knockoff sites that have made lots of money too.

As a user, I actually just wasted about 15 minutes "surfing" from the page. I think since it tends to grab you and make you click some things (at least it did me), people who put ads there might actually get some traffic. Thanks for posting this here for those of us not up to speed on net oddities like this.

A friend wanted me to help him out with one of these, he had to explain the whole concept to me because I was too lazy to go to the site. Now it seems like a good idea, but not something that will take nicely to being copied, since there are so many copiers now...just look at the whole free ipods thing...

If only I could come up with a unique idea that would make me 800k...
