I just got my TV for my arcade after waiting almost 3 years.. playing games on a 20 inch monitor sucks.
-
Here are some others that enjoy.
Ikaruga
Border Down
Zero Gunner 2
Psyvariar2
Choas Field
Shikigami No Shiro 2
House of the Dead2 (gun)
Confidential Mission (gun)
Death Crimson OX (gun)
Powerstone 1 & 2
DOA2
And a couple of others currently escaping me.

HYDRO THUNDER ROCKS!
Zombi revenge is also awsome.
Hydro thunder is my favorit raceing game. So fast and sooo fun, with lots of extras.
-
I mostly play the shooters, light gun games, beat-em-ups, and fighting games. All the ones Goz mentioned work well. And anything that's an arcade port. I can't think of many that don't work well with arcade controls.
Games like Rez, Mr. Driller, Puyo Puyo and Cosmic Smash play well too.
The ones that don't play well with arcade controls are games like Tomb Raider Chronicles, Rayman 2, Shenmue, MDK2, RPGs, and sports games. I prefer to play racing games with a wheel or original controller.

Ikaruga
I would venture to say that this game alone is reason enough to put a DC in a cab. Especially when paired with a vert monitor.

mars matrix has got to be one of the best DC arcade games. i know you can play it in mame but the DC version is so much more challenging because you cant just put in another quarter and continue, you have to earn points to unlock new options such as 7 ships instead of 3 or more continues plus its simultaneous 2 player and alot more fun with another person playing it.

does puyo puyo use regular dpad instead of digital?

Do you mean analog stick?
The regular dpad IS digital.

Project Justice =D

Amen, brother. It was worth all the trouble to rotate my monitor...

I think that you can use either control (for both of the Puyo Puyo DC titles). I prefer digital directional controls for those games.
I once saw one of those gamepack compilations that had both DC games, Puyo Puyo 1 and 2 for the Genesis, and several other NES, SMS, or SNES versions all packed onto the same disk. Menu controlled Puyo Puyo heaven on a DC!

Okay...here's an addition to this thread:
What's everyone's best Japanese or import games for the Dreamcast?
I love my USA releases, but I feel like there's probably some real gems out there that never made it to the States. Any suggestions?

If you are a shmup fan... Shikigami No Shiro II kicks ass.

A little off topic, but didin't want to start a new thread for this simple somewhat related question...
I have Ikaruga for the Gamecube. I got rid of my Gamecube.
Is it identical to the Dreamcast version, or was it graphically updated or anything?
I'm just wondering if it'd be worth it to replace the GC version (which I have no GC to play it on), with the DC version (I still have 2 DC's)?

Same graphics... same game play....
I also have 3 versions... NAOMI,DC, and GC
It looks a little better on the NAOMI and DC due to VGA but it is essentially the same if displayed on a TV

Interesting.
Guess I will be seeking out the DC version then.
Ikaruga & Super Monkey Ball were the only 2 games I kept for GC (to be played on revolution), but Xbox solved the SMB problem, and it is great that not only will DC solve the other, but improve it thanks to VGA. :)

powerstone I and II are tons of fun......
