Not completely done yet, I need to add the mouths and the Atari logo in the front of the house.

Cool!

Nice!

I think the wife would kill me if I did something like that! :'(
-
Awesome, I love it. Do the neighbors and local kids know what it is or do you have to explain it to them?
Eric.

Aw heck yeah. Mine is already a little leary about my "hobby".
Great job though. You could make the ghosts blink. and get a few of these as power pellets http://www.christmaslightsetc.com/productdetail.htm?productid=4630&CategoryID=108&CatalogID=1

HEY If you have a set that can alternate lights on and off, here's what you could do:
String up a second set of ghosts on top of the existing ones, but in Red, Pink and Orange. String up a second pacman on top of the existing one, but facing the other way. Set your thingy to alternate between these two modes.

That is exactly what I thought of, but between Lowes, home depot and walmart nobody had a controller, sequencer or nothing. By the time I get one ordered and shipped the season will be over. So I am going to buy one and implement it next year. I can also add in a few more tricks. This is the first year, all in good time.

Sweet! I couldn't pull that off, but the wife did get me a new pair of underwear.

Very nice! I just might have to do something like that here. If you don't mind me asking in what part of the country do you live? Those houses look just like some of the one's around here.
-
I live on the edge of N. VA about an hour west of D.C.
-
Not to offend, but those houses look just like some of the ones around everywhere. Right down to the same-species saplings tied to posts in every freshly-laid-sod front yard.
Except for the lights, of course. Those Rock!

very nice

Hey all, this is a great use for Randy's LED wiz. Arcade parts running an arcade display. ;D

To go another way, alternate Pac-Man with his mouth closed/open.

How'd you get the lights to stay on the siding???
-
Photoshop ;)
-
LMAO
-
I first tried stick on zip tie bases, those 1inch squares with adheasive, and they just peeled right off. Then I noticed the joints where the siding comes together and made up a fastener using 14 guage wire and a sheet metal anchor. The next day the temp was nearly 30deg warmer and the zip tie anchors stuck and held just fine. But as the work went on the temp started to drop fast and the anchors stopped sticking. So then I went to the anchors I made and continued. I picked up some more blue lights today to continue with the design. Of course it is a slushy cold snow outside right now... Maybe tommorow.

Hahahahahaha, that's great!
-
That's awesome! Now I just need to convince my wife to let me do that to our house... Now how do I convince her that a video game themed light display is in the true spirit of the holidays?

Just grab some white and red lights as well, and put a santa hat on pacman!

One step backward, two steps forward. I tired the mouth but because of the "resolution" of Xmass lights it just didn't look right, sort of like it had two bottoms. So I hit the store and picked up enough lights to do some asteroids and a ship. They should be up in a few days. Next year I must get a 32 channel seqencer and animate a field of asteroids on the side of the house where pacman is and move the pacman display around to the other side.

Here you go....
