Is the foot print the same? I just built my cocktail cp out of metal and dont want to deal with more work later when my t-sticks where out.

I'm pretty sure they are the same externally with the only difference being the internal magnetics.

I thought I read they are slightly deeper than before (which could be an issue in a cocktail).

The dimensions are the same, in fact you cant tell one from the other by looking. The difference is that the spring inside is replaced by a flat ceramic magnet which holds the stick centered. There was feedback on here that some people found the T-Stik too stiff and the Mag-Stik has a lighter feel. But joystick feel is a very subjective issue and maybe the differences will not suit everyone, with some people preferring the heavier feel. If there is a demand we could stock both types.
