Anyone watch the show Masters of Horror on showtime? Its basically a Twilight Zone/Tales from the Crypt type show. The first episode that aired a few months ago was pretty good, but they've been getting worse every week. This week was so bad that it reached the point it was funny. Actually it went way beyond funny into one of the funniest things I've ever seen, I can't believe they actually aired the episode. I literally fell out of my chair laughing at one point.
Heres basically the plot from the episode: Dead soldiers came back to life as zombies to vote out the president in the next election, but the twist at the end is their votes weren't counted in the election so they started killing everyone eventually taking over Washington D.C.
Obviously the show has no political agenda :) But not only was the plot the stupidest zombie premise ever, but it was done in a really corny way. You could see they were trying to be scary, but it was just done so bad that it was hilarious. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

i was about to post in the thread again, but i didn't think anyone cared. i was thinking how they were getting better. i watched south park last night instead of seeing this one. i did have a dream that all my horror movies came to life though.
the apocalypse one was just bizarre, like the stand. the other ones weren't half bad, especially the chocolate and jennifer one although the chocolate episode was just a supernatural thriller. horror rating wasn't up there.

ok, i just saw it. it obviously was a polital satire. i always laugh at conservatives, so it wasn't any different. they had a good take on the whole zombie genre. and they weren't trying to be scary. the whole movie was mostly politically driven. 7/10 most of the episodes are supposed to thrill, and only the supernatural monsters or serial killers really scare. i guess the directors may try to scare women or young children with some scenarios, but it's difficult to scare men.

how do zombies normally die, sunlight? i don't see anything wrong with that view considering it was a political satire, not a zombie movie. i actually found it entertaining as opposed to other political movies i've seen. it's only an hour long, so there's not much standing around, thinking time.

I just watched this weeks Masters of Horror and I thought I'd bring this thread up again. This week they actually did what they advertised and got a true master of horror to do the episode, in this case it was John Carpenter. This episode was easily the best in this series and even the best horror I've seen in a long time. It was very similar to the movie 8mm, but this was even more disturbing.
John Carpenter is awesome and I hope they get more masters like him to do more of their episodes instead of the nobody directors they've been using for most of their episodes.

the summary seemed similar to the ring. getting eaten by a deerwoman didn't sound too fun. i enjoyed the nudity again.
