Title: I won the Dream Arcades cocktail
Post by: GadgetGeek on December 02, 2005, 09:52:50 pm: This is the one that was part of the Retroblast sponsored holiday giveaways. I'm pretty excited about this. Thanks to Kevin at Retroblast for sponsoring the contest and more than thanks to Mike at Dream Arcades for this oh-so-generous prize.

I've been planning my cabinet for a couple years now. I've done the hunter-gatherer thing and have a working CP, but still no cabinet. I've even helped build a cabinet and troubleshoot a bar-top cabinet, but none yet for me...until now (well soon from now).

I'm pretty sure my wife isn't as thrilled about this as me, but I heard her saying something about not expecting anything else for Christmas. What more could I want.

Woo hoo.

I'll be sure to post a few pictures of the cabinet in project announcements when the time is right.

Now to convince the Mrs that I still need an upright so I can play trackball and spinner based games. After all I've still got all the parts.

Did I mention I'm excited?

Post by: DreamArcades on December 02, 2005, 10:28:05 pm: We were really happy when we found out that a BYOAC member won the contest. There were so many entries this year I figured it wouldn't be a forum member. I'm thrilled to see I was wrong.

When your wife sees the cabinet hopefully she will not be so upset. It really looks like a piece of furniture. We get a fair number of customers who put our cocktail cabinets in there family rooms. Most just leave the side art off and use it as an end table.
