I'm home alone right now and the wife didn't leave my dinner on the table before she went to get the kids. I'd go to McDonalds or something but that's a 25 minute ride each way

I left work early.  When I'm not at work, I only check in here occasionally.

Theres a time and a place for things.  Home is for relaxing.  Work is for goofing off on the computer.

but goofing off on the computer is what I do best so I do it all the time.

I'm really ticked off because I get an email at 3:55 on friday asking if I can be available all weekend for sporadic project support.  I was at 40+ hours before I got up this morning.

Only 40+?  I ducked out at 2 today 'cuz I'm leaving for New Hampshire tonite...  And I'm hovering around 60 hours somewhere.

I tell people I work half days.  12 hours is half a day, right???

I miss overtime.  Being salaried is not worth it during crunch time.

S'funny, sometimes I spend more time at work to get away from the kids. :)

It sucks that what companys promise never pans out.

I've been pretending that my email doesn't work for the last five years. I have no idea how I get away with that, but I do.

Hey wow, I pushed back and actually got the people to back off and tell me the work could be done on monday.
