would this be a good deal ? He has positive feedback. Called two bits and while the guy was extremely friendly, was a little more than I'm looking to spend. 90 hr labor plus parts.

I will either repair your board or send out a fully working identical board in exchange.
If he lives up to this, that is an awesome deal. Many boards are not worth repairing or have been hacked by an idiot... if you had one of those, swapping yours with one that is known good for $65 is cool.

Will seriously consider it since I noticed a jumper wire on the back of the board. This board has been serviced by two bits before, I see some type of tag on it.

Don't go TOO high... remember, you can snag a JAMMA Multipac for what a bad repair cost can be.

This is true....but his has a BIN of 65.00 I'm gonna do some research on a mulit kit

"shipped back within 2-3 days of receiving it"
Hrm... that must mean he always has working Pac boards in stock. There's no way a guy could make that guarantee otherwise.
-
That crossed my mind to, he must have a stash of some sort. After the holidays, I think I'll take the chance. With the repair of the board and some cosmetics . cpo, underlay....I may have 200 bucks in this

Mikesarcade.com also hads a PCB exchange, 90 bucks and you trade in your board and get a working one

little safer than ebay and I've dealt with him before

On the other hand, if you can find the problem yourself, most boards can be fixed for a few dollars worth of parts. I'm not very experienced with diagnosing PCB's myself, but I'm pretty good at asking questions, lol. I read a lot of repair logs when I was trying to find the audio problem with my Super Punch-Out board and it seemed like the vast majority of board issues can be diagnosed and fixed with a selection of under-a-dollar TTL logic chips and a $20 logic probe and/or asking the right questions. A 90 cent TTL logic chip turned out to be the problem with my board.
Read the repair logs at MikesArcade.com and see what a wide range of problems those damnable TTL logic chips can cause when they go bad.

I've dealt with him in the past. He is a good guy and did a good job on my Pac PCB. He really knows his Pac boards.
