Title: Cocktail cab makers - bezel question
Post by: javeryh on November 30, 2005, 06:53:58 pm
Did you glue it in place or just let gravity work it's magic?  If you glued it, what type of glue did you use to bond the plastic laminate to the plywood?

Thanks.

In the original Midway cocktails, the bezel just sits with the lip countersunk in the wood top.  A piece of smoked plexi sits on top of that.  The top of the smoked plexi is even with the top of the wood top.  Then the clear glass top sits on top of all that and is held down with 8 glass clips.  No glue is used.

Awesome.  Thanks - that's exactly how I'm setting mine up right now.  My inlaid glass is gray smoked though because I think it has a very cool effect on the monitor's picture.  The big piece for the tabletop is clear tempered.  Cutting the perfect shims to attach the monitor is going to be tricky...
