I like the new Xbox 360 commercial which highlights the fact that in some basketball game, Shaq can sweat like a madman. Shaq sweat. Now THAT makes me want to buy a console ......

That's the way I read it. I'd own one if the thing had any games that appeal to me - or at least appeal to me more than what I can play on on my current gen systems. It doesn't.
And the original post was definitely sarcasm. Not that it isn't hilarious watching the panties get in a twist over a comment that was made in jest.

Can we please lower this? I mean, I'm thirteen and I wouldn't do that. Twelve would probably be a more accurate age.
Do I want an xbox 360? of course. The games out look prretty good, but I can't afford or find one, so I'm out of luck.

Nonsense. There are plenty of expensive things that I want, but don't have. I don't make fun of these things, I covet them.
By your reasoning, everying that costs more than some amount of money is longed for by everyone. That's silly. My mother-in-law has one of those sit down hair dryers like they have in beauty salons. It was very expensive. I have no interest in owining one just because it costs a lot of money.

Personally I hate consoles. I can afford them but for some reason, they just seem to plain suck (Except for the SNES. That one rocks)
I've been playing Prince of Persia: Sands of time on my PC for a while and found the game to be excellent.
I also played it on a friend's PS2 and it just lost all the magic.
Oh well

I can afford a 360 but I wont buy one until I am convinced that it has taken vids to the next level.
High Def is great and all but what I want is longer more complicated games that I cant beat in a few days.
Hell , I have been playing just MAME lately because most of the games get harder to the point of impossibility insted of just ending.
Lets face it you can buy a freaking computer for $399.99

I think its pretty clear. Your point is jealousy. Simple as that. You have something I don't, so I'm jealous... therefore the only thing I can do is make fun of you. And I do so because I'm poor, stupid, ignorant, a bad dresser, et al.
Only thing is... you are wrong. He has it.. I dont... and I can care less. I have no desire for it even though I could afford one if I wanted. Technically, I could even hop on eBay and pay stupid prices for one. I'm not cheap, as I buy things that I truly want all the time. And as for being dumb... that's just absurd. A person is unintelligent because they don't buy the new hip thing? Wow... spoken like a true 15 year old.
I'd say that even if I DID want one right now, I'd be pretty smart to not have one, seeing as there are a lot of complaints with overheating, crashing, and graphic issues. Sure, chances are I'd get one that is ok... but why not let them work out the bugs and get a better one in a few months.
