Hello all,
I purchased an arcadevga to use on one of MAME cabinets I was rebulding. Plans have now changed, and I will be using a regular monitor in the can instead of a PC. So here is my question: is there any benefit in using the arcadevga in a cab that will not be using an arcade monitor? I belive the current card in this PC is a 32 meg (about 3 years old). Any input is appreciated.

No, not worth it.
Sell it on the BST forum and buy a super video card with the money. Heck a geforce2mx will run a mame machine just fine and you could get one on ebay for 10 bucks shipped. for 70-80 bucks you get get one that will run HL2 (or better yet, run Zinc at a good resolution with 4xAA)
never mind.. I mean... ask me about my amazing PC card upgrade. I'll send you a GREAT card if you send me that old good for nothing arcadeVGA that isn't worth anything if you don't have an arcade crt. :)
Or better yet... buy a 19" new arcade CRT for 200 shipped to your door and forget about a pc monitor. I would go for a 19" arcade crt over a larger PC anyday.
