Title: Vertical screen flipped?
Post by: scotty101 on November 26, 2005, 09:11:39 pm
I have a mame set up (advmame on an old cab) and its all go apart from the image on the screen has flipped horizontally,  any idea how to flip it back, is it in the software (advmame) or do I need to swap some wires around on the monitor chassis?
Cheers,

I don't use Advance Mame.  I played with it once, but isn't there a setting for that?

If not, yeah, you'll have to flip the yoke wires.

Bob Robert's site has a writeup on that.

Yeah haven't found the setting for that yet, would be intersted in the Bob Roberts web site, saw a link once but it didn't connect up. Could you give me the address?
Thanks,

You might try (in advmame.rc):

display_flipx yes (or no)

I think this supposedly controls horizontal image flipping.
Although in the vertical mode maybe display_flipy controls the horizontal...
