Title: monitor horizontal/random flickers

hi everyone,

i recently acquired a konami windy. the monitor has horizontal and random flickers. rarely the entire monitor will blink quickly. does anyone have any ideas of what might cause this? thanks.

hi ken,
it says toshiba on it.. model # says k29cr55. i believe it's really a nanao.

i can hear ticking sounds when i listen from the back of the monitor. these ticking sounds correspond to the horizontal flickering white lines that appear every couple seconds. it goes tick-tick-tong. sometimes there will also be a high pitched whine sound too. other than those horizontal white line flickers, the picture is perfect.

turns out a bad fluorescent bulb was the culprit. removed and voila.
