Title: Emulaxian input w/o IPAC?
Post by: mtalkington on January 27, 2003, 09:30:09 pm
Is there a way to control Emulaxian with my control panel rather than my keyboard?

(I'm not using IPAC, I'm using a playstation controller hooked up to my arcade cabinet's computer via a USB converter.)

I tried using the Joy program, by the way, but it's not compatible with my computer. (I ran the test that comes with it and failed)

Thanks for any advice!

Adding joystick support is MUCH harder then keyboards.   You could try to get him to add it, but spending a little more time on the joystick -> keyboard will probably work out better.  I believe there are a few applications out there... and you will probably find one that will work with any directx joystick.

good luck

Actually in the way the fe is setup it is very easy to add but a commercial director xtra extension is needed that costs money...

And yeah for my desktop i also use a remapper for when i use the fe with my thrustmaster gamepad...which works great...the analog sticks on the gamepad can even be mapped as a mouse :-)
