Title: 36" monitors on eBay
Post by: Reggie on November 23, 2005, 04:03:38 pm
I don't know much about these, but I'm sure many of you do. They're basically brand new, just been stored for a while.

If you buy both, combined shipping is $375. Otherwise they are $300ish each to ship.

Thanks! ;D

I emailed this afternoon about these "monitors" apparently it's tube/frame/yokes only.

So buyer beware.

(I don't think 8liners has a chassis that can drive these monsters)

Could you help me understand so when people ask I can be somewhat informed?

Remember, I'm not really into this stuff so excuse my ignorance. I posted these as "monitors" because A. that's what they were represented to me as from the previous owner/arcade manager. and B. that's what they are labled on the box.

I notice that the tube itself is an RCA unit, and you refer to this as a "replacement tube".  Is it an "arcade" replacement tube based upon the frame/connections? Surely this wouldn't be just a replacement tube that would just go in any T.V.?

Honestly, the last thing I want to do is mis-represent the products I'm selling. I just want fair market value.

Thanks! ;D

It looks like a monitor that the previous owner removed the chassis from.

Chassis look similar to this.

The tube/yoke combo is usually tied to the monitor chassis that it was designed  for.

So what you have would be perfect to someone who had the original chassis for that model monitor, but might have a bad or broken tube.

You should open the other box and see if that one is complete.

So this board is what you are referring to as a chassis? I'm a car guy, so I think of a chassis as a frame. I'll check both boxes, compare, and update.

Thank you for your help!

You were right! I verified that the sealed monitor does indeed have the board you pictured above along with wiring and connectors. It even looks to have a VGA input?

I will make changes to my auction, or probably split it into two separate auctions since these units are not alike.

Thanks again for correcting me, this is one of the many reasons I like to post my auctions on specialty boards!
