Has anyone got one of those neon signs that are being sold on eBay? The ones that go for $0.99 and about $30 postage! I'm thinking about getting one of the Mario mushroom 1up signs, they look cool in the photos but are they any good under normal room lighting? Search for game neon on eBay.

I haven't seen one in person, but I know a few folks online that have them, and they say they're about worth it. Not a great deal but not a crappy product either. It's worth about... yeah, $30. :)

Cheers, I just Emailed about getting one of the mario ones in a different colour, I'm fussy! I realise they aren't going to be amazing for the money but it sucks when you pay for something thats comlete junk!

I've heard two things about them. People have said they love em. But other say they break fast.
-
People also say they're smaller than you probably expect.

I had a duff beer one, was poorly made and broke soon after hanging it. It wasn't real neon, it was a light bar that reflected thru some sort of lucite/plastic thing.

I have a pair of the $30 neons and love em. They have performed well over the last year or so. One is the Billiards and teh other is a cocktail neon. The $30 neon clock is pretty decent as well. They do not look cheap when mounted. I can snap a pic if it helps.

I've just ordered one from a new guy, same thing, but different vendor (on ebay). I can let you know how it is when it arrives if you want.

I got an Atari one, $15 plus $15 shipping. It came in about a week from Hong Kong and I would say if I saw one in the store for $30 I would have bought it. It is a clean cut of the Logo into a Lexan like plate with a Neon stick above it. It illuminates well and looks nice. The body is made of a very high grade of aluminum that is many times stronger than needed. Then for some reason they stick on these brittle plastic end caps that the chain attatches to that are probably what people are saying is breaking. Good news is you could drill and tap in an eyelet into the aluminum easily. Mine is 2 months in use and no problems. If the bulb ever dies I will just go with a few blue LEDs.

Yeah I've got two off them, a Pac Man one and an Atari one like the one above. I can also vouch for the build and they are really bright. They may be brighter over here due to our 240v
