Title: arcade monitor troubles
Post by: Naikrovek on April 21, 2002, 07:48:07 pm
I'm building a MAME cabinet out of an old galaga cabinet (but keeping it JAMMA) and i'm having an EXTRAORDINARY amount of trouble getting the video-out from my PC to do ANYTHING on my monitor.

Right now, it just displays something that has no resemblance to a picture at all, but of course, Galaga plays/looks fine.

I'm using an ATI Rage IIc AGP card, since i hear that most modern ATI cards work.

My question is this: are there any problems with this card?  Also, i'm thinking that i might have the JAMMA fingerboard soldered incorrectly (video cable to wrong pins) so if anyone has the ability to share a known working JAMMA pin diagram (maybe mine is wrong?) that i can check against that would be great.

Also, if any of you are in Sydney Australia and would like to see my cabinets, let me know.

So is this a newer type of Galga?  I didn't think there was a mame version of it.  So your video card has RGB/Comp Sync out (at 15khz) output?  If not, then how are you hooking it up?

sounds like you should use a J-PAC
