Title: GALAGA character problems.

Have a GALAGA i just got.

Power it up, Runs good.

But the aliens look like blocks.

Could this be bad roms?

And could this solve my problem?



You are bidding on a replacement set of 8 chips for the original 2-board Midway Galaga.  These will fix many problems on your boards if you are having sprite issues such as weird colors and such.  It is very easy to switch out your old rusted chips with these new ones.  I will include a very detailed instruction sheet to help you through the process. ((NOTE: If you would like (3J rom 5) it will be an extra $10, as this chip is the RAPID FIRE chip)). This is why it not included in the original set of 8. If you are not interested in the rapid fire option then 3J does not have to be replaced on your board. If you would like to enhance your board just let me know when you purchase this set of chips. About halfway down the page on the arcadeshop page, there is a situation where cleaning and reseating chips solved the block sprite problem.
