Okay, so it's a cheesy rip-off tag-line from a poor movie!
I was just wondering what people would like to see supplied to the BYOAC community that isn't readily available (and no, I'm not going into business doing it!)
I for one would like to see a fully wired interface for modular control panels that requires no soldering, no hacing of current cables, etc. Sort of a jamma harness type thing, maybe along the lines of a patch panel. Pre-wired for joystick 1 and 2 (possibly 3 and 4 too) with a selection of buttons and a ground. Yes, I am that lazy!

Cheesecake sideart
It should exist already in the form of Dancing Eyes side art. :)
-
And another thing, before we get off topic with cheesecake and bacon ;), repro, fully working tron joysticks.
Might have to re-christen this the lazy builders request thread!
(Flippin pedants!)

I reakon they're should be the BYOAC Annual Academy Awards that lets us vote for the best cabinets, games, emulators, front-ends, control panels etc.
There could already be something like this since I am a n00b, I have never heard of such a thing.
The list of entries could be decided by staff at BYOAC for each category and then placed into their own thread and voted on by the members for a set period of time.
The winners of each category could win some cool prizes by sponsors or whatever.

A patch panel for controls would be cool.
I would like a cheap interface card that would let us use arcade recoil guns, or at least let us use PS2 recoil guns.

I second that :)

repro, fully working tron joysticks.
I'd settle for Specialty Plastics making the handles available again - I need a translucent red one.
-
Some green weedy stuff would be nice for those stressfull wiring moments ;)

Anything free is always good.

Hydraulic lifts.
Multi-function/button joysticks, like a microsoft sidewinder that also has a z-axis

A frontend that would install itself like any other commercial program. Install, point to your emulators, click and drag you background art, etc. I would be more then happy to pay $30 to $50 for something like this. I'm sure that if given enough time I could figure out and use the frontends out their now but have not yet accomplished this (still trying to finish my cabinet so this has not been a priority yet but once its done i will do more) The few times that I have tried I could not get them to work to well. I guess this has been the result of using a windows based GUI the last ten years and forgetting what it was like before when DOS and the like was how you manuvered around on the computer.

I want an up/down DOT spinner :'(

If you could figure out how to package and sell spare time, that would be grand.

They have! And all it costs is $(your weekly paycheck)
Unfortunately it's not very practical at that price.....

Nice avatar 97thruhiker!
I used to spend hours playing crisis mountain. 8)

Crisis Mountain is one of those classics 80's era video game that to me was very simple yet extremely fun. I can vivdly remember spending those hot summer afternoons inside at the old Apple II+ playing this game along with Miner 2049er and Lode Runner. Highly recommend anyone here to try it out using an Apple II emulator. I still play it at least once or twice a week.

I would like a cheap interface card that would let us use arcade recoil guns TOO!!!
Forumfavourite davidrfoley (Ultracade) said he had one in the planning: "We also have a new lightgun board that has been completed that works with real coin-op guns like those from Happ Controls. "

Easy setup frontend would be my first choice, I know I have got what it takes to set up a front end but I'm getting old and that whole install, fail, learn, tweek, try, search, despair, try again, test, etc. cycle is too much for my broken spirit.
